Immerse yourself in all that Junior Achievement has to offer

Shyanne Decker

I first encountered the Junior Achievement programs through several business courses at Mountain Vista High School. The knowledge I acquired in these courses, and the love I developed for business, allowed me to start my first company. From there, my new-found admiration led me to San Diego State University, where I am currently pursuing a degree in business with an emphasis on entrepreneurship.

The financial support I received from the JA Inspiration Scholarship program lightened my financial burden and allowed me to pursue my passion. The staff and volunteers at Junior Achievement were warm and welcoming and inspired me to try harder. In my short time at San Diego State University, I have immersed myself in a variety of activities and volunteer programs. A future goal of mine is to raise awareness among the nation’s youth about the critical role that entrepreneurship can play in the strengthening and growth of America. This goal would not exist without the teachings and generous support from Junior Achievement and their donors.

For those high school students who might read this blog, I urge you to immerse yourself in all that Junior Achievement has to offer. It has made a difference in my life, a difference I will be forever grateful for.
