J. Landis "Lanny" Martin
Platte River Ventures was founded in 2005 by Lanny Martin, who has served as the chairman and CEO of several publicly-held industrial, chemical and metals companies over the past 18 years. Most recently, Martin served as chairman, CEO and president of Titanium Metals Corporation, the world's largest supplier of titanium used in aerospace and other industrial applications. He is a founding director and chairman of the board of Crown Castle International Corp., a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications sites. Martin is also lead director of Halliburton Company, one of the world’s largest product and service providers for the oil and gas industry, and Intrepid Potash Inc. He is a board member and lead director of Apartment Investment Management Company, the largest owner, operator and manager of apartments in the United States. Martin is a trustee of Northwestern University and is involved with several Denver-based charitable organizations.
