Have you ever witnessed the spark that lights up a child's eyes when they've learned something new? At Junior Achievement, we're all about that spark, and our volunteers experience it each teach time they enter the classroom.

You can make a difference in your community!

The experience

Volunteering with JA is a fun, flexible and rewarding way to directly impact the lives of local students. JA programs are easy to teach, require a modest time investment, and provide immediate feedback and personal satisfaction. JA provides volunteers with everything they need to be successful in the classroom, including

  • Comprehensive classroom materials, step-by-step lesson plans and training.
  • Choice of grade and a school location close to home or work.
  • Connection to an individual teacher to coordinate times during the school day for 5-12 lessons, each lasting approximately 45 minutes.

The benefits

As a JA volunteer, you will:

  • Experience "magic moments," when you see a child understand something new.
  • Sharpen your presentation and coaching skills.
  • Connect with your community and learn about the challenges and successes local schools face.
  • Meet new people and build friendships that last a lifetime.
  • Challenge yourself to try something new.

Please consider becoming a JA volunteer today. You can reach us at 303-534-5252 or you can fill out an interest form. The difference you'll make is inspiring!
