How JA Supports Colorado Academic Standards

JA is designed to complement what you teach in the classroom every day. Better yet, our programs meet the new Colorado Academic Standards adopted by the State Board of Education in December 2009.

Worldwide Instructional Design compared the new Colorado Academic Standards and found that Junior Achievement’s programs correlate well with the new standards. The programs especially match the Financially Literacy, Social Studies, Mathematics, Reading, Writing and Communication standards.

Another study recently conducted by the University of Northern Colorado stated, “Junior Achievement programs address the standards with a practical, real life, hands-on approach providing students with experiences similar to what they encounter outside of the classroom.”
