JA Banks In Action
Comprised of eight classroom sessions, JA Banks In Action teaches students the fundamentals of the banking industry and allows them to apply what they learn in a competitive environment using the JA Banks in Action computer simulation. Through the simulation, students form banking teams and compete by operating a bank over time. The banking team that develops the best strategy and makes a greater profit than its competitors is the winner, earning the title “Bank of Choice.”

JA Be Entrepreneurial
Through interactive classroom activities, JA Be Entrepreneurial focuses on challenging students to start their own entrepreneurial ventures while still in high school. One of ten JA programs designed with the specific needs of upper grade students in mind, it provides useful, practical content to assist students in becoming productive, contributing members of society.

JA Business Ethics
This timely program is designed to foster ethical decision-making in students as they prepare to enter the workforce. Students learn to recognize, analyze and apply basic terminology, theories, and concepts common to the study of ethics. They explore their own ethical values and philosophy, establish ethical priorities, recognize key ethical issues and learn to evaluate their decision-making process.

JA Capitalism with a Conscience
This hands-on program provides students the opportunity to learn about ethics from local CEOs and work in groups to offer solutions to ethical dilemmas.
JA Careers With a Purpose
In this program, students discover the importance of seeking careers that help them realize their life potential and noble purpose. The program demonstrates the importance of positive values, life maxims, and ethical decision-making within the context of career and life decisions.

Designed to foster a better understanding of business’ role in our society, this program challenges students to organize and operate an actual business enterprise. They not only learn how businesses function, but also about the structure of the U.S. free enterprise system and the benefits it provides.

JA Economics
JA Economics is a one-semester course that examines the fundamental concepts of micro-, macro- and international economics. While students receive standard textbooks and study guides, JA brings classic economic theory to life through supplemental computer-based business simulations and a student-run company.

JA Exploring Economic
JA Exploring Economics tackles a complex subject and makes it accessible and fun for high school students through hands-on activities. It teaches concepts such as supply and demand, and inflation, as well as the effect which governments and the individual have on the global economy and on the price of a loaf of bread. By making economics engaging and relatable, JA Exploring Economics helps students better understand the impact they have on the economy as consumers and taxpayers, and teaches important personal financial lessons around spending, saving and investing.

JA Finance Park
JA Finance Park takes students into the real world of finance in a four-week financial literacy education program that introduces personal financial planning and career exploration. It is designed to be taught to middle school students by classroom teachers. High school students also benefit from this program through an abbreviated classroom curriculum.

JA Job Shadow
JA Job Shadow connects a classroom of students with a business in the community, allowing them to explore business operations and connect with employees in the industry. JA Personal Finance

This program introduces students to the importance of making wise financial choices. Students explore the role that money plays in achieving personal goals throughout life. They develop planning, goal setting and thoughtful decision-making skills that will help them protect themselves from the unexpected financial pitfalls that plague so many adults.

JA Success Skills
Success Skills develops students' interpersonal effectiveness and problem-solving strategies necessary for the workplace. Students undergo individual interpersonal skill assessment, set benchmarks, then practice and develop these skills.

JA Titan
Titan is an online program which introduces critical economics and management decisions through an interactive web-based simulation. Set in the year 2035, JA Titan creates a world in which players are CEOs of their own companies. During game play, students must run a manufacturing company and master six key business decisions. Various corporate assistants “help” the player through each quarter of game play.

JA Business Week
June 12-17, 2011 at Johnson & Wales University
For one week, high school students from across the state learn from local business leaders, stay on a college campus and participate in an “Apprentice”-style project.
JA Stock Market Challenge
November 3 & 4, 2011 at Cable Center, DU campus
Students learn about investing and trading in the stock market in a hands-on, high-tech simulation of the New York Stock Exchange floor. Includes two volunteer lessons.
