JA Programs: Extreme Makeover Edition

Do you typically volunteer for first grade, third grade, middle or high school?

JA USA has just released SIX new and redeveloped programs for the 2013/14 school year. Teachers and volunteers will receive fresh, new graphics and updated lesson plans and materials for the following programs:

JA Our Families

First Grade: JA Our Families introduces students to the intersection of entrepreneurship and first-grade social studies learning objectives, including how family members’ jobs and businesses contribute to the well-being of the family.

Third Grade: JA Our City introduces students to the intersection of financial literacy and third-grade social studies learning objectives, including the characteristics of cities and how people and businesses in cities manage their money.

Middle School: JA Economics for Success provides practical information about personal finance and the importance of identifying education and career goals based on a student’s skills, interests, and values.

JA Job Shadow

Middle School: JA It’s My Future  (NEW!) provides practical information about preparing for the working world while still in middle school.

High School: JA Career Success  (NEW!) equips students with the tools and skills required to earn and keep a job in high-growth career industries.

High School: JA Job Shadow prepares students to be entrepreneurial thinkers in their approach to work. Students will acquire and apply the skills needed in demanding and ever-changing workplaces.
