Today is the last day at the 2009 JA Business Week. The morning was spent hearing student presentations about the projects that they had been working on all week.
Third year students were up first. Their project was to create a marketing and floor plan for an in school health clinic at Manual High School. This project was done with The Colorado Health Foundation. There were two third year groups this year and their presentations were very professional and informative. Each of the groups provided the judges with a marketing plan, budget and detailed floor plan of the new health clinic.
Second year students were up next. There were four groups of students that worked on a project with Wal-Mart and Natural Capitalism Solutions. They were challenged to come up with ideas for a green fair that Wal-Mart is going to have in July. Wal-Mart was so impressed with the students ideas that they asked the top two groups to attend their planning meeting about this event and share their ideas.
Last, but not least, were the First year student presentations. These nine groups spent the week coming up with a new ideas of a Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard Spoonbender. All of the groups had very creative innovative ideas. During all of the presentations the groups integrated some form of social media into their plan in order to get the information out about their new Spoonbender. The Spoonbenders included everything from Oreos and marshmallows to cappuccino and cheesecake.
