Being smart about money isn’t always easy. That’s why Junior Achievement and Colorado’s JumpStart Coalition for personal financial literacy presents Money Smart Colorado Week — April 24 - May 1. As a statewide public awareness campaign, the second annual event offers a unique opportunity for businesses and organizations to highlight their current financial literacy efforts and become involved in an important effort to make financial literacy education accessible to all Coloradans.
This year, for the first time, Colorado JumpStart will also present a teacher training event on Saturday, May 1 at the Colorado CPA Society training center in the Denver Tech Center. The event is free to educators and will support the rollout of the Colorado Department of Education’s new personal financial literacy standards. For more information, visit www.MoneySmartColorado.org.
