Third Annual Northern Colorado JA Inspiration Reception

On October 16, supporters gathered at the third annual Northern Colorado JA Inspiration Reception to celebrate the impact JA volunteers have made on Northern Colorado students.  JA volunteers from Northern Colorado reached 8,250 students in 440 classrooms during the 2013/14 school year.

Dick Monfort, Owner/Chairman and CEO of the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, gave the keynote titled “Be A Team.” During his keynote Mr. Monfort emphasized the importance of preparing young people to succeed.  “It is a very competitive world out there,” said Mr. Monfort. “Kids need an advantage and Junior Achievement provides this advantage.”

The event also honored volunteers who are the newest JA Apple Society Members.   The JA Apple Society was created to thank and recognize our amazing classroom volunteers for their dedication to JA’s mission. This exclusive recognition is earned by a steadfast commitment to engaging with students multiple times.

Newly inducted into the JA Apple Society at the 250+ student level were: Jane Barber, Paul Brinkman, Kristina Kelley, and Anna Murphy.  Congratulations also goes to Brenda Hampson who reached the 500+ level for the first time and to Megan Kuhnen who reached the milestone of impacting more than 1,500 students!
