The many benefits of JA Engage membership

Are you a young professional looking for a way to make a meaningful difference for Colorado youth, develop your professional skills, network with local business leaders and meet new friends in the process?  If your answer is “YES!” then JA Engage is for you.

JA Engage was started by a group of young professionals who are passionate about JA’s mission and who are looking to increase JA support and volunteerism from among their peers. “The members of JA Engage represent our next generation of JA leaders, volunteers and supporters,” said Jill Hrnicek, manager of volunteer engagement.

JA Engage hosts a variety of networking and social events throughout the year in addition to promoting opportunities for young professionals to volunteer with students. The next JA Engage social event is scheduled for Oct. 17, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be hosted by JA board member Matt McConnell at Comcast Technology Solutions, 1899 Wynkoop St., #550, in Denver.

“Our next happy hour will focus on signing up new members of JA Engage,” said Hrnicek.  “As an official member, professionals have access to fun JA volunteer opportunities and get to participate in exclusive roundtable discussions with local business executives. Members also receive discounts to social events and can apply for board positions with the group.”

Members of JA Engage make a $10 monthly donation to JA to support the financial education of youth across the state. Individuals interested in membership should attend the October event or sign up on line.

JA Engage members have an exclusive opportunity to volunteer at JA Finance Park on Nov. 17, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.  For more information and to sign up, click here.
