JA-Rocky Mountain Celebrates Wyoming

May 24th was National Wyoming Day and JA celebrated by reflecting on the amazing program growth achieved over the last five years. In 2017 we were implementing programs in three Wyoming counties. By 2022, we were able to reach students in 12 counties throughout the cowboy state. Whether it was traditional classroom delivery, a day of hands-on activities at the Manufacturing Works Kids Fair, providing workshops at Wyoming State FBLA, running summer programs with various Boys & Girls Clubs, or implementing programs on the Wind River Indian Reservation—we were able to grow our footprint thanks to new and effective partnerships.

We had a lot of help along the way. Connecting with the Wyoming Afterschool Alliance and the Wyoming Department of Education CTE Director, in particular, provided a path to success. All of the work required to grow our impact in Wyoming would also not have been possible without those who provided the financial support needed to make our dream of expanding programming in Wyoming into a reality.

Please join us in thanking the following organizations for the generous financial support they provided us this year: Daniels Fund, Blue Foundation, Wells Fargo, Bank of the West, Taco Bell Foundation, OtterCares Foundation, Wyoming Community Foundation, U.S. Bank, Williams Companies, and Rocky Mountain Power Foundation.  Our success in Wyoming didn’t happen overnight and there is still so much work to do, but the future is bright thanks to those who have embraced the JA mission and supported our efforts to make JA available to all Wyoming students.
