First JA Inspiration Reception for Northern Colorado/Wyoming

The first ever JA Inspiration Reception for the Northern Colorado/Wyoming District was held on September 19, 2012.   It was an exciting and delightful evening of inspiration and recognition.  Larry Kendall, Author/Teacher at Ninja Selling and Co-Founder and Past Chairman Emeritus at The Group, Inc. gave a keynote address, “Fueling Our Economic Future.”  Larry shared inspiring stories of the importance of economic literacy and the critical role JA plays in preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.  Gabby Wymore, Blevins MS Social Studies teacher shared the impact of JA Finance Park, presented by Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, had on her students.

Numerous volunteers were recognized for their efforts.  We celebrated the 49 new Apple Society members for reaching more than 250 students.  Three volunteers were recognized for reaching more than 1,000 students: Jaris Hansen (Weld County), Megan Kuhnen (Larimer County) and Deb Thomsen (Wyoming).

Thanks to everyone who joined and made this a huge success!  We look forward to seeing you next year at the second annual JA Inspiration Reception.
