Nowhere is entrepreneurship more real and exciting for youth than at Denver Startup Week! Surrounded by the buzz of invention and creativity, students meet real-world innovators and learn all about starting a business.
Junior Achievement (JA) and Young Americans Center for Financial Education (YA) partner with Denver Startup Week to offer exclusive opportunities for young people to join the entrepreneurial movement.
Denver Startup Week Youth Pitch Challenge
For the third year, JA and YA present the Youth Pass Pitch Challenge!
Students are selected to pitch their business or business idea to a panel of judges in a live virtual Shark Tank-style competition. The winner of the Youth Pitch Challenge gains a guaranteed spot in the semifinals of Denver Startup Week’s Pitch Competition, in which the young entrepreneur will compete against adults for a chance to win up to $100,000 in startup capital and prizes!
In 2019, JA students Melanie Zhou and Mia Hayden battled their way all the way to the top, walking away with the grand prize! In 2020, student Jack Bonneau became one of just six finalists.
