Middle School Programs

JA’s middle school programs build on concepts students learned in JA’s elementary school programs, and they help teens make difficult decisions about how to best prepare for their future. These programs supplement standard social studies curricula and develop communication skills that are essential to success in the business world. All programs are offered at no cost to schools.

For Fall 2020, JA programs are available for digital implementation.

Classroom Programs

JA Career Speakers Series™
JA Career Speakers Series gives students the opportunity to learn about an industry and company first-hand from business professionals or entrepreneurs. Available for digital delivery in Fall 2020.
“For them to see that there is life beyond the classroom–and that what they’re learning connects them to the future–makes it real.” – Amy Rahne, Newton Middle School
JA Economics for Success®

JA It’s My Future®

JA It’s My Business®
JA It’s My Business provides the opportunity to learn how to turn an idea into a business. Other Programs

JA Finance Park®, presented by Transamerica
JA Finance Park, presented by Transamerica, is an innovative budgeting simulation that introduces young people to personal financial planning and career exploration. Available as a virtual program only in Fall 2020.
“This entire program gives students the basic skills they will need day-to-day. They have learned about budgeting, using a credit card wisely, and the reality of being an adult. Seeing their reactions is eye-opening. Our students don’t learn this at home and this is the first and maybe only time they will get this.” – Laura Platt, Fort Logan Northgate
JA Virtual Entrepreneur Summit Series
In partnership with Techstars, JA is offering a series of free virtual town hall style events for teens, featuring founders and CEOs of emerging companies doing innovative work. The first Entrepreneur Summit is on November 10, 2020.
JA Career Exploration Fair™ (Offered in Northern Colorado and Wyoming only)
JA Career Exploration Fair is an event where students learn about a range of career options across multiple career clusters. Volunteer share information about their businesses and/or jobs and students as questions as the speakers or students rotate from station to station.
